Arnhem Oosterbeek War Cemertery contains1754 Allied soldiers, sailors and airmen who lost their lives during the period September 1944 and April 1945 as the result of hostilities in the Arnhem region. They died in battle against the German occupiers in the liberation if the Netherlands. The majority were involved in the battle of Arnhem a part of Operation Market Garden on the 17th and 18th September 1944.
We are forever indebted to them and the thousands of others for their eternal sacrifice.
